Rob Kaiser is an advisor, author, and internationally-recognized authority on leadership. He began his career at the Center for Creative Leadership and then joined the executive development firm, Kaplan DeVries Inc., to help shape the practice that came to be known as executive coaching.
As the leadership industry grew into big business, Rob grew concerned that the field was not up to the challenges posed by the disruptive, complex, and interconnected global economy of the 21st century. He formed Kaiser Leadership Solutions to raise the bar with cool tools and evidence-based solutions that set a new standard for innovation and impact in assessment and development.
Rob has helped multinational companies in a range of industries to get better results through better leadership. He has coached executives and their teams, conducted executive assessments for hiring and promotion, designed and delivered development programs, and advised CEOs and CHROs on managing talent and shaping their leadership culture. He also teaches HR and Talent professionals the art and science of coaching, executive assessment, high potential development, and leadership analytics.
A prolific writer, Rob’s work on leadership assessment, selection, and development has been widely published in research journals and popular outlets like Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, and Talent Quarterly. His books have been translated into several languages and include Executive Selection, Filling the Leadership Pipeline, The Perils of Accentuating the Positive, and, with Bob Kaplan, The Versatile Leader and Fear Your Strengths. He is the current Editor-in-Chief of Consulting Psychology Journal: Practice and Research.
As an acclaimed public speaker, Rob is frequently invited to deliver his provocative keynotes and workshops to audiences around the world. It is impossible to overlook his passion for challenging leaders and the leadership industry to a higher standard.
But as serious as he is about the work, Rob doesn’t take himself too seriously. He has a down-to-earth style and plainspoken way of telling it like it is.
